Bob Weber has been
active in equestrian sports
for many years, both as an adult amateur rider and as a photographer.
His
involvement in
equestrian vaulting began
in 1992, and in the late 1990s he became a published
photographer. Bob
took photographs while attending the World
Equestrian Games in 2000 and continues to attend both as a volunteer and as a
photographer the larger
trials, competitions, and championships that include the wonderful
sport of equestrian vaulting. Since 2004 he has used digital
photography, developing a
large digital library of vaulting photographs.
Bob still volunteers at each year's main equestrian vaulting
competitions and also utilizes his talents as a photographer.
Recent events have included the World Equestrian Games 2006 in Aachen,
Germany, the World Vaulting Championship 2008 in Brno, Czech Republic,
and the USEF/AVA US National Championships for the last several years.
Bob's photographs
have been published
by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) , the United States
Equestrian Team Foundation (USET Foundation), the American Vaulting
Association ( AVA), the
American Youth Horse Council (AYHC), and the Certified Horsemanship
Association (CHA). And the organizing committee of World
Equestrian Games 2010 to be held in Lexington, Kentucky, have
selected some of Bob Weber's photographs to represent equestrian
vaulting in their promotional media.
Bob
joins his two interests, equestrian vaulting and photography, by being
a member of several organizations. He is a member of American
Horse
Publications
as a free-lance photographer, and he is a member of and has been active
on committees for both the United
States
Equestrian Federation and the American Vaulting Association.
